The gateway to Northern Vancouver Island, Campbell River has evolved into a major service centre for the northern half of Vancouver Island.

Extending for over 24 kilometers along the waterfront of Discovery Passage, Campbell River lies within the Strathcona Regional District and has unparalleled views east to the mainland.

The City of Campbell River is located on the 50th parallel on the east coast of Vancouver Island, midway between Victoria (264 km to the south) and Cape Scott to the North. The boundaries encompass an area of 33,955 acres.
